Electrical repairs

Electrical repairs and troubleshooting

When a breaker trips, a socket stops working or you notice a burning smell, we find the cause and fix it, not just the symptom. Our working hours: Monday – Friday: 08:00 – 18:00; Saturday: 09:00 – 14:00. You can send us photos of the problem on WhatsApp straight away.

Burning smell, sparks or a hot socket? Switch off the circuit breaker for that circuit or the main switch, stop using the socket and call us. In case of fire, call 112.

In short

How we find the problem

The most common causes are overload (too many appliances on one circuit), a short circuit, an insulation fault, a loose connection or a faulty appliance.

We check the installation circuit by circuit and, where needed, measure the insulation to find exactly where the fault is. Then we repair it and check that the circuit works correctly.

If the problem comes from an old installation or an outdated electrical panel, we tell you honestly and suggest the right solution.

What is included

  • Tracing short circuits and insulation faults
  • Replacing sockets, switches and circuit breakers
  • Repairs in the electrical panel
  • Remaking loose connections
  • New circuits for additional appliances
  • Testing the circuit after the repair

Frequently asked questions

Questions about electrical repairs

Why does the breaker trip?

Usually because of an overload (too many appliances on the same circuit) or a short circuit. If it trips again as soon as you switch it back on, do not keep trying: it may be a short circuit, and the circuit needs to be checked.

Why does the RCD trip when it rains?

Moisture often gets into an outdoor socket, junction box or light fitting and causes current to leak to earth, and the RCD (residual current device) cuts it off. We find the spot and seal it properly.

How much does an electrical repair cost?

Labour starts from 250 lei + VAT per hour per electrician, with a minimum of one hour charged. Travel and any parts are invoiced separately.
